1 - 6 :
Miami caravanserai, 17th century AD
Located 70 Km East of Shahroud, on the road between Shahroud and Sabzevar
Caravanserai was built by Amir Divan, at the time of Shah Abbas II, 1653.
Style/Period: Safavid (1501-1722) and Qajar (1781-1925).
Under restoration.
7 - 16 :
Mian-dasht caravanserai complex, 17th century AD
Located 110 Km east of Shahroud, on the road to Sabzevar and Meshed.
In fact, there are 3 caravansarais in the village. All 3 caravansarais are attached, forming, in effect, a complex unit.
One is a Safavid Caravansarai and appears to be the nucleus of the unit. It is small, 50x50 Sq. m. and was erected at the time of Shah Abbas the Great. The other 2 were built in Qajar period and are larger.
There are 3 cisterns in the vicinity of the caravansarais. The complex could accommodate up to 2000 travelers.
Style/Period: Safavid and Qajar.

17 - 21 :
Elhak caravanserai, 12th century AD
Located 20 Km east of Mian-dasht Caravansarai, on the main Khorasan Road. 3 Miles from the current main road.
It is told Elhak is from 12th century.
Although most of the original caravansarai has been destroyed, some reconstruction works have been undertaken by local people.
Style/Period: Ghaznavid (963-1187) ?
22 - 24 :
Abbas-abad caravanserai, 17th century AD
Located some 120 Km east of Shahroud, on the road to Sabzevar.
Built in 1600 AD, by Shah Abbas the Great.
The caravansarai is the biggest on Khorasan road and it covers an area of approximately 10,000 Sq. m.
Style/Period: Safavid/Qajar.
25 - 28 :
Sadr-abad caravanserai
Located on Shahroud-Sabzevar road. It was built in Qajar period.
Style/Period: Qajar.
29 - 31 :
Sang Bast caravanserai, 11-15th century AD
Variant Names: Arslan Jadhib (Amiraslan Jazeb, Aslan Jazib) Gunbad, Mil-i Ayaz Minaret.
Located near crossroads of Tus (Iran)-Herat (Afghanistan) and Neishabur (Iran)–Merv (Turkmenistan).
Built in 997-1028 AD, with buildings added till at least 15th century.
Style/Period: Ghaznavid.
Completely ruined, except the restored mausoleum and minaret.
32 - 44 :
Royal Ribat-i Sharaf, 12th century AD
Variant Names: Robat-e Sharaf, Robat-i Sharaf, Robat-e-Sharaf, Robat-i-Sharaf, Robat Sharaf, Ribat Sharaf, Rabat Sharaf Caravanserai.
Located on the road between Mashad and Sarakhs, 6 kilometers south of Shorleq or Shurloq, this is close to the border with Turkmenistan and on the road between Nishapur (Iran) and Merv (Turkmenistan).
Built in 1114-1115, 1154-1155.
Style/Period: Seljuk (1037-1194)
